10/30/2023 0 Comments Fran bow multiple endingsAre all the dimensions actually real, or is this part of her imagination making sense of things she's experienced and seen (or it's the drugs). But the game doesn't hit the point that it reveals if the ending is all reveal or just a dream. It's hard to make sense of the ending unless it all actually makes sense. The girl with the crayons, the girl in the hallway that said stuff, but didn't have any interaction. The moment you find the twins in their cell below reception, Itward is on the wall. I was hoping she would somehow end up back in the hospital and help some of those children more. It'll make far more sense that way ) That's exactly what i tried to do, i still wish there was more closure though Try to think of it as a a severe mental delusion that goes completely off the rails in the end, instead of random plotlines. Something for the devs to work on for their future games, because Fran Bow was lovely and they should make more games like it. I liked the game as a whole, and I loved the art style and sound design, I just wish the ending was better. It felt rushed and there was no sense of closure. Oswald, Remor, Grace and her sister being twins, Fran being the Key, all these plot threads introduced at the very end and then just dropped. There was a partial info dump at the very end that was just left incomplete. I understand trying to leave things open to interpretation, and I think they were going for a Pan's Labyrinth style ending, but the ending felt very anticlimactic. I loved the game up to the ending, but the part past Maboka felt really haphazard. Автор сообщения: RagnarJust finished it now, and I too was disappointed. The last few moments were simply lackluster in my opinion.īut those are just my thoughts. I want to make it clear that I think the game as a whole has fantastic writing. This was a central throughline of the game's plot, so why is it brushed aside so quickly? Just let us know how she is willing to handle the darkness for the rest of her life if she has to. She didn't have to neccessarily defeat him. And the psychiatrist getting possessed and having to have his memory erased seems more like a sloppy last minute way to tie things up than it did a moment of real thematic significance.īut most importantly, I think there needed to be some sense of closure with the dynamic between Remor and Fran. The nurse is supposedly killed without any real dramatic weight to her death. Oswald needed to play a larger role earlier on for his involvement to have any impact. Character are haphazardly brought in and removed from the story. Things also felt a little rushed at the end. But then it makes the odd decision to go for a lighter, more comdeic tone with the penultimate puzzle in the wating room. The madhouse's extremely surreal style had a real sense of finality to it. Fran Bow is one of the best adventure games I've ever played, but the ending left me dissapointed.
